There is a system with backup copies. Do you have to erase information from these copies?

After the request by a private person, the company must erase information from backups, however:

• Backups are not necessary to carry out legal responsibilities/services. If backups are necessary to provide services, then the company can refuse the erasure of backups after receiving a request.
• If the company no longer provides a service, then the data from backups must be erased if it is technically feasible. If the erasure requires considerable effort, it is not required to erase them, but in that case the data must be anonymised.
