Squalio, one of the leading resellers of software solutions and IT services, is actively searching for an open-minded, dynamic, and solution-oriented Lawyer Team Lead to join our team.
As the head of our legal team, you will play a crucial role in the company’s business operations. You’ll support our sales and delivery teams in bringing their business ideas to life, serve as a guardian of vendor interests, and engage in a variety of exciting projects. We view our lawyers as solution providers, so your eagerness to learn about the industry, our products, and services will be key to your success and that of the company.

Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of lawyers, ensuring effective workload distribution, professional development, and high-quality legal support.
- Oversee the review of cooperation agreements, providing strategic legal guidance to the sales department.
- Lead the development of contracts and related documentation to support and secure the company’s commercial operations.
- Supervise the analysis of state and local government procurement contracts, resolving legal issues and ensuring compliance.
- Manage corporate governance processes and documentation in alignment with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Provide high-level legal opinions based on comprehensive research and oversight of legal analysis.
- Ensure consistent and professional legal communication with clients and partners through coordinated team efforts.
- Coordinate and deliver employee training on legal and compliance matters, ensuring alignment with current legislation and internal standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law.
- Proven experience as a Lawyer, including prior responsibility for leading legal projects or teams.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a precise, detail-oriented, and proactive approach.
- Ability to manage a legal team in a dynamic environment, set priorities, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure timely delivery.
- Solid experience in commercial and contract law; familiarity with state and local government procurement is considered an advantage.
- Excellent command of Latvian and English; proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.
